FAQs
Is the Atlanta event a Slam or Open?
The Atlanta Pickleball Championships is a Slam, the highest tier below the PPA Finals. Winners earn 2,000 ranking points, double what most regular tour stops offer. It’s one of only a few Slams on the season calendar.
Can amateurs play at the same venue?
Yes. Amateur brackets run alongside the pro competition at Life Time Peachtree Corners. You’ll compete on courts near Humana Championship Court and can watch the pros between your own matches.
What’s the best day to watch as a fan?
Championship Sunday, May 3, is when all the gold medal matches happen. If you want to see the deepest draws with more match variety, Friday and Saturday offer quarterfinals and semifinals across all divisions.
Are outside food and drinks allowed?
Bags, water, and snacks are permitted. Meals and beverages, including alcohol, are not allowed since food and drink vendors operate on-site during the tournament.
