"After 30 years on the tennis courts, I had no idea that this sport would completely change my approach to fitness, competition, and community."

Welcome to Pickleball Wiki

Your trusted resource for everything pickleball.

Pickleball Wiki Founder Christoph Friedrich

Hey, I'm Christoph!

As a German native, I've always been passionate about sports. Tennis was my first love—I played competitively for almost 30 years and spent 10 years coaching everyone from juniors to seniors looking to improve their game.

After decades of pounding on hard courts, my body started sending me not-so-subtle hints that maybe it was time for something different. Sound familiar?

From Tennis to Pickleball Courts

The transition wasn't just about finding a lower-impact sport (though my knees certainly appreciated it). As a former strength trainer, I'd helped hundreds of clients discover the strength and stability they didn't think they had left in their bodies. Now I was the one needing to adapt.

When I discovered pickleball, it felt like finding the perfect middle ground. All the strategy and skill of tennis, but on a smaller court with less wear and tear on the body.

Why Pickleball Wiki?

As a hobby online marketer with a passion for helping others, I noticed something: while pickleball was exploding in popularity, finding reliable, comprehensive information was surprisingly difficult.

That's why I created Pickleball Wiki—to be your trusted resource whether you're:

  • A tennis player like me looking to make the switch
  • A complete beginner curious about pickleball basics
  • An intermediate player ready to master the third shot drop
  • A competitor seeking the latest tournament strategies

Let's Connect

Whether you're transitioning from tennis like I did, recovering from injuries, or simply looking for a fun way to stay active, pickleball offers something special. It's competitive enough to challenge you but forgiving enough to keep you coming back.

Get in touch here – if you would like us to review a product, I can add it to my purchase list. I'm always testing new gear and love hearing what the community wants to see reviewed next.

Remember—in pickleball, just like in life, it's never about how hard you hit. It's about staying in the game.

See you on the courts!
Christoph 🙂
