The USA Pickleball National Championships return to Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego for the second year in a row, running October 31 through November 8, 2026. FAQs
How long do individual matches last?
Most matches run 20–40 minutes. Pro finals are best-of-three and can stretch longer. If you’re planning your day around a specific match, build in buffer time — the schedule shifts as earlier rounds finish ahead or behind pace.
Can I watch multiple courts at once?
Yes. Barnes Tennis Center runs matches across multiple courts simultaneously throughout the day. You can move freely between courts, which makes it easy to catch a mix of pro and amateur action in a single visit.
How close can I get to the action?
Pretty close. The atmosphere at Barnes is intimate compared to most major sporting events. Outside of designated player areas, spectators can get near courtside on most courts — Center Court has more structured seating.
Is the event family-friendly?
Very much so. The age range of competitors alone — from 11-year-olds to players in their 80s — makes it one of the more unique sporting events you’ll attend. Kids are welcome and there’s plenty to keep non-pickleball fans entertained between matches.
