By Christoph Friedrich on May 27, 2026 in Court Locations

Sacramento’s pickleball scene has grown fast, with 100+ courts spread across city parks, suburban rec areas, and a growing number of dedicated indoor facilities. Hot summers push plenty of players toward early mornings or indoor clubs, but the mild winters make this a year-round pickleball city.

Here’s where to find the major courts in the Sacramento area.

Can I just show up and play at Sacramento’s public courts?

Yes. All city and district park courts are free and first-come, first-served. There’s no reservation system for public courts. Rusch Park has a good rotation during busy hours, and Gibbons uses a paddle rack system to keep things fair when courts are full.
