Every January, the best pickleball players in the world head to the Coachella Valley for the Carvana PPA Masters Powered by Invited. It’s the opening Slam of the PPA Tour season, held at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. Players compete in all white, the venue sits in the desert sun, and the stakes are high — 2,000 PPA Tour ranking points go to each division winner.

Format
The PPA Tour uses a progressive draw format for all 2026 tournaments. Here’s how the week plays out.
Pro Schedule
- Monday: Pro qualifying rounds
- Tuesday–Friday: Main draw rounds (one round per division each day)
- Saturday: Semifinals
- Sunday: Championship finals
Match Format
- Main Draw: Best of 3 games, each to 11, win by 2
- Consolation: Single game to 15, win by 2 (except bronze medal match)
- Elimination Style: Double elimination with no come-around (a loss means bronze is the ceiling — no path back to gold)
- Small Events: Round robin format for events with fewer than 6 teams/players

Is The Masters open to amateur players?
Yes. The Masters includes amateur brackets across multiple skill levels (3.0–5.0) and age groups. Amateur matches are played alongside the pro courts. Register at pickleballtournaments.com.
Why do players wear all white here?
It’s a tradition unique to The Masters on the PPA Tour. The all-white dress code gives the event a distinguished feel, similar to Wimbledon in tennis. It has become one of the event’s signature characteristics.
What are PPA Slam-level events exactly?
Slams are the highest tier on the PPA Tour calendar. They offer the most ranking points (2,000 for winners) and the largest prize pools. There are four Slams per season, and The Masters is always one of them.
Can I meet pro players at the event?
Yes. PPA events include pro player meet-and-greets, clinics, and autograph sessions. The grounds pass gives you access to common areas where pros warm up and move between courts throughout the week.
Are PPA Tour camps available at Masters?
