San Francisco Pickleball Courts

By Christoph Friedrich on April 6, 2026 in Court Locations

San Francisco has one of the most active pickleball scenes in California, with 22+ public court locations spread across parks, rec centers, and a growing indoor club scene. Courts range from free drop-in spots to reservable premium facilities.

Here’s where to find each major court in San Francisco.

Presidio Wall Playground

  • Address: West Pacific Ave & Spruce St, San Francisco, CA 94118
  • Courts: 6 dedicated outdoor pickleball courts (6 additional shared with tennis)
  • Surface: Hard court (asphalt)
  • Hours: Dawn to dusk
  • Lights: No
  • Cost: Free; 6 courts reservable at $5/hr
  • Amenities: Restrooms, water, parking on West Pacific Ave

SF’s busiest pickleball spot with a paddle rack queue system for drop-in play. Courts B/D/F are always walk-on. Courts A/C/E are reservable mornings and from 1 PM onward. Free beginner class every Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Loaner paddles available.

  • Hours: Daylight
  • Lights: No
  • Cost: Free
  • Amenities: Restrooms, water, picnic area

Pure walk-on, no reservations. First-come, first-served at all times. No organized open play sessions, so it’s a good option when other courts are packed. Less crowded than Presidio Wall on weekends.
