Salt Lake City Pickleball Courts – Quick Guide

Salt Lake City has one of the fastest-growing pickleball scenes in the Mountain West, with 40+ courts spread across public parks and dedicated indoor clubs. The city has invested heavily in new facilities on both the east and west sides, and its dry climate makes outdoor play viable most of the year.

Glendale Regional Park

Opened August 2025 as part of the city’s first new regional park in over 60 years. All courts have permanent nets and lines. West side’s main hub — expect crowds on weekends.

Fairmont Park

Permanent nets on all courts with a good rotation system during busy hours. One of the few free outdoor options for evening play.

11th Ave Park

Panoramic valley views from the Avenues neighborhood. No formal rotation system, so expect waits at peak times. Open play runs Tuesdays and Thursdays 5–8 PM and Sundays 3–6 PM (weather permitting).

Can I just show up and play at SLC’s public courts?

Yes. All city-owned outdoor courts are free and first-come, first-served. There’s no reservation system for public courts. Fairmont Park has a decent rotation system during busy hours. At 11th Ave, expect to wait during organized open play sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
